OUR STORY

Yuka Stone Art was founded in 2003, and was the dream of a young and passionate entrepreneur, Yuniana Oktoviati or known as Tovie. In the early days, Yuka operated from the porch of Tovie’s home, soon expanding to take over the garage space.

The fledgling business soon grew, taking on projects across the whole city and beyond. A significant step for Yuka was our first export sale, and from that day the business thrived.

Today, Yuka Stone Art serves customers and clients in Europe, North & South America, Asia, and the Middle East. This global reach is encapsulated in Yuka’s logo; The Globe with a ring stemming from Indonesia and embracing the world.

YUKA operate in 2000 Sqm headquarters for office, showroom, workshop and in few of home industry workshop we work with in many towns. And we are proud to declare that we are cooperate with woman specially woman with children that unable to come to our workshop to work because they have to taking care of their children, cooking for family and others.
We are sending row material, teaching and supervising them regularly and at the end of the week, we will gather the outcome and pay them. It gives mutual benefit for both parties while we can fulfill the order, they can have income that can support the family while taking care of them. They will start the work after they finish with home and drop kids to school and they can stop anytime if they need to pick them up or any family things that possibly comes up.

SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

Supporting Local Communities
Many of our artisans are women with young families. Rather than placing the burden of travel and time that places on them, we take the raw materials and tools to them. They can then stay at home with their families and generate income while their children are at school.
This situation leads to a happier team, which is reflected in the quality of their work.

CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibility )

Since 2014 we are also having CSR with name “WARUNG SHODAQOH”. We are giving free foods every Friday to anyone who need it. It was start only in front of YUKA showroom and manage to expand in few places, though now in 2022 we are only managed 3 places.

This WARUNG SHODAQOH project were high value by AQUA a mineral water brand from DANONE. They then supported Warung Shodaqoh and our owner become their brand ambassador in 2015.

OWNER PROFILE

Yuniana Oktoviati or known as Tovie are a mother of 3. She graduated from Faculty of economic at Gadjah Mada University. Growing up with parents who also was entrepreneur, and grandparents that was lived in area that surrounding with stones and artisans gives tovie benefit on natural experiences of stone material and also learning business from young age.

Though so, Tovie start her business from zero, her parents’ business was vanishing during monetary crisis in 1998. And lost both parents in between.
